Burgas's scene is smaller than Varna's but persistent. Summer brings the Sea to Sky open-air series and a handful of port-side rock venues; winter drops down to a tight circle of local bookings. The city's death metal contingent — most notably Diphtheria — carries the banner for southern Black Sea Bulgaria.
